Guest Service - Restaurant

About This Role

This role involves serving guests courteously and efficiently, taking and filling orders, handling cash transactions, and maintaining cleanliness in the service area at a quick-service restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers with a sincere smile and make them feel welcome
• Take and fill customer orders within company-mandated service time
• Suggestively upsell products as directed by management
• Collect money and deliver orders to customers
• Immediately attend to any customer service problem or complaint, notifying manager as needed
• Verify opening reading and bank, and be accountable for all cash issued and received at the register during the shift
• Count down drawer at the end of the shift to ensure accuracy
• Immediately notify Manager in Charge of any deletions, over-rings, or equipment problems
• Ensure all product holding times are strictly observed
• Ensure products on the counter or in the display case are properly rotated and attractively displayed
• Keep display case interior and exterior clean at all times
• Stock the service area with a sufficient supply of napkins, cups, lids, etc.
• Maintain an adequate supply of iced tea

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 6 months experience in related duties
• Knowledge of all restaurant policies, practices and operational procedures
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to receive money and accurately count back change
• Practices adequate security measures in cash handling
• Basic computer skills
• Report to work timely for each scheduled shift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 6 months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
