Growth Lead (Proposals)

About This Role

This role will drive business growth by developing compelling proposals, white papers, and presentations, focusing on the needs of users in national security. The Growth Lead will collaborate with customers, founders, and technical stakeholders to identify long-term opportunities and implement capture, pricing, and outreach strategies.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary author and project manager for Requests for Information (RFI) and Proposal (RFP) responses
• Engage with the DoD and commercial partners, tailoring communication style for different audiences
• Gain thorough knowledge of Picogrid's products and demonstrate their alignment with critical mission requirements of Defense clients
• Maintain a superior proposal infrastructure, incorporating best practices from defense contractors and the commercial sector
• Improve the caliber of written content for proposals

Requirements

• Love for writing
• Curiosity about defense technology and national security
• Proficiency in using modern tools like Large Language Models to optimize workflows
• Ability to develop a compelling 5-page proposal in under three hours
• Active or eligibility to obtain a US Government Security Clearance (requires US citizenship)

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in a technical field
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in Think Tank, Technical Writing, Capture Management, Management Consulting, Government Business Development, or similar roles

Nice to Have

• Proven track record in writing successful proposals, personally leading efforts resulting in at least $5M won across multiple efforts
• Ability to showcase high-quality examples of written prose and presentations on technical subjects
• Domain knowledge within the Defense and Intelligence sectors (joint/all-domain Command and Control (C2), intelligence, tactical communications)
