Grocery Team Member

About This Role

As a Grocery Team Member at Whole Foods Market, you will be responsible for maintaining the grocery floor and displays, stocking shelves, and providing exceptional customer service. This role ensures a fresh and appealing shopping environment for customers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked, front-facing products, checking codes, rotating, and removing out-of-date items
• Stock and clean grocery shelves, bulk bins, frozen and dairy cases
• Monitor and prevent spoilage, communicating waste to buyers, Team Leaders, and shift supervisor
• Maintain back stock in good order
• Assist with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean, and appealing
• Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required
• Assist with periodic inventory checks
• Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs in a timely and effective manner, and model suggestive selling techniques
• Maximize sales potential through effective procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
• Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to stand/walk 6-8 hours
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required
