Golang Developer

About This Role

This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality REST and gRPC APIs and webservices for an Engineering team. The developer will work collaboratively to meet project deliverables and ensure robust, secure API layers within a multi-region configuration.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of REST & gRPC application program interface (API) and Webservices
• Design and create re-usable frameworks/components for global delivery
• Maintain REST API documentation using swagger and create design documentation
• Maintain Proto files for gRPC services
• Document work and engage in quality testing/validation for changes or improved features
• Troubleshoot issues and debug codebases
• Work on AWS cloud platform including EKS
• Maintain and improve existing codebases and peer review code changes
• Ensure API layer aspects for security, monitoring, analytics, and throttling
• Work with Leads and team members to meet all project deliverables and milestone dates
• Communicate effectively with team members and suppliers and work collaboratively

Requirements

• Minimum 3-4 years of experience with Golang
• Experience with gRPC/gRPC API Development, Rest APIs, API Development
• 1-2 years of experience with AWS
• Good analytical skills
• Proficient in clean architecture, API design, debugging, profiling and performance optimization
• Very good problem-solving and analytical skills with knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience with programming languages, with a minimum of 3-4 years in Golang, and reasonable experience with cloud services.

Nice to Have

• Experience with EKS
• Prior experience in Automotive multimedia system
• Experience in implementing, validating platform technical specifications
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
