Global Accounting Manager

About This Role

This role will serve as the operational backbone of the accounting function, ensuring the general ledger is accurate, complete, and defensible while partnering with the Controller on high-quality monthly management and board reporting. The goal is to build strong foundations in a fast-moving, modern international SaaS business, driving excellence across global close, reporting, audit, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Own the global month-end close end-to-end, delivering timely, accurate, and well-supported results across all legal entities
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and lead global consolidation, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations
• Lead group revenue recognition policy and support accounting for complex or non-routine transactions
• Own tax accounting and support tax strategy by ensuring tax positions are appropriately recognised
• Deliver accurate financial statements and consolidated actuals, providing clear variance analysis and accounting insight
• Partner with FP&A to ensure key SaaS metrics are built on solid financial foundations
• Take ownership of annual financial audits across multiple regions, working closely with auditors and legal counsel
• Spot opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve accounting processes, helping scale smarter through better systems and technology
• Monitor financial risks and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity

Requirements

• 8+ years accounting experience
• 2+ years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
• Experience with modern ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Proven audit leadership experience (Big 4)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum 8 years’ accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role

Nice to Have

• SaaS, technology, or professional services experience
• Exposure to multi-entity or international accounting environments
