This role involves teaching day and evening classes in Geology to college students. The instructor will educate a diverse student population, employing multiple teaching strategies, and incorporating technology into instructional responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Teach day and evening classes in Geology
- Employ multiple teaching strategies to create student-centered classrooms
- Incorporate technology routinely into instructional and faculty responsibilities
- Work with a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Geology, Geoscience, or Earth Sciences
- OR Master’s degree with eighteen (18) graduate semester hours in Geology, Geoscience, or Earth Sciences
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Geology, Geoscience, or Earth Sciences; or a Master’s degree with eighteen (18) graduate semester hours in Geology, Geoscience, or Earth Sciences
Nice to Have
- Teaching experience in college-level physical and/or historical geology courses, preferably within a community college setting
- Field experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Online course instruction experience and/or training
