About This Role

This role involves teaching day and evening classes in Geology to college students. The instructor will educate a diverse student population, employing multiple teaching strategies, and incorporating technology into instructional responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Teach day and evening classes in Geology
  • Employ multiple teaching strategies to create student-centered classrooms
  • Incorporate technology routinely into instructional and faculty responsibilities
  • Work with a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Geology, Geoscience, or Earth Sciences
  • OR Master’s degree with eighteen (18) graduate semester hours in Geology, Geoscience, or Earth Sciences

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Geology, Geoscience, or Earth Sciences; or a Master’s degree with eighteen (18) graduate semester hours in Geology, Geoscience, or Earth Sciences

Nice to Have

  • Teaching experience in college-level physical and/or historical geology courses, preferably within a community college setting
  • Field experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Online course instruction experience and/or training
