General Manager - Food

About This Role

Lead and manage the day-to-day food service operations at a state-of-the-art surgical facility, focusing on delivering high-quality retail, catering, and patient meal services while ensuring client and customer satisfaction and financial targets.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of day-to-day operations
• Successfully coordinate all required tasks through subordinate managers, supervisors and frontline staff
• Deliver high quality food services including retail, catering and patient meal management operations
• Achieve company and client financial targets and goals
• Develop and maintain client and customer relationships
• Develop strategic plans
• Ensure HACCP, regulatory and standards compliance
• Have daily interaction with patients, their families and clinical team to ensure patient satisfaction
• Create a positive environment
• Ensure Sodexo standards are met

Requirements

• 5 years management experience
• 5 years functional experience
• Experience with At Your Request menu service
• Experience with Press Gainey
• Patient satisfaction focus
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Strong employee engagement leadership skills
• Previous supervisory experience
• Ability to work collaboratively
• Culinary production experience
• Strong background in safety and sanitation compliance
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Professional communication skills
• Passion for a high level of customer service

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 5 years of management experience and 5 years of functional experience

Nice to Have

• Working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS) The Market Connection (TMC)
• Working knowledge of Sodexo Menu Graphics (SMG)
• Working knowledge of Catetrax
• Proficient in computer skills and report management experience
