General Maintenance Technician - Construction

About This Role

The General Maintenance Technician provides comprehensive building maintenance services to ensure the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of facility systems. This role involves troubleshooting various systems, performing preventive maintenance, and addressing repair requests in commercial, industrial, and manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and perform necessary adjustments and repairs on appliances
• Install, repair, and maintain locksmith systems to ensure security and functionality
• Perform comprehensive inspections and maintenance on HVAC systems
• Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including lighting controls and breaker boxes
• Conduct inspections and maintenance on fire safety systems
• Replace ceiling tiles, perform minor carpentry and painting tasks, and handle plumbing issues
• Document work orders and maintenance activities in the ticketing system
• Perform routine housekeeping and inspections on exterior roofs
• Address and resolve electrical issues and FF&E electrical troubleshooting
• Assist with filter changes, system inspections, and other HVAC maintenance tasks
• Assist with maintaining inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment
• Adhere to client's safety regulations, legal restrictions, and building codes

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in maintenance; Journeyman/Apprentice level candidates preferred

Nice to Have

• 3+ years of experience in maintenance
• Journeyman/Apprentice level candidates
• Commercial roofing experience
• Commercial locksmith experience
• Proficiency in English
