Full Time Merchandiser

About This Role

Assist with sales, create brand awareness, and maintain marketing displays for Dietz & Watson products in an assigned territory. This role involves product rotation, store visits, and training of new deli hires.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a deli slicer
• Set up deli cases and appropriately rotate deli product
• Understand and execute schematics/planograms
• Maintain marketing displays using Dietz & Watson Point of Sale (POS)
• Manage time effectively and productively
• Complete all reports as necessary including store surveys
• Consistently provide coverage to all stores within assigned territory based on store ranking
• Make regular store visits documenting all concerns/problems and addressing them in a timely manner
• Build and maintain customer relationships by displaying high-level customer service techniques
• Possess the knowledge and ability to both create and market Dietz & Watson programs
• Train new store deli hires on the merits of Dietz & Watson and refresh training when needed
• Communicate any necessary information to the Merchandiser Manager
• Utilize monthly sales reports to achieve 100% distribution
• Explore opportunities for sales growth with the Merchandiser Manager
• Maintain full displays
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
• Perform special projects outside of assigned territory

Requirements

• Flexibility and ability to travel (including flying) up to 30% of the time
• Must be able to read and write English
• Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Communication, organization, creativity, and customization skills
• Ability to exercise independent decision-making skills on a regular basis
• Availability to work weekends on occasion
• High school diploma or equivalence
• Reliable vehicle
• Ability to pass the company issued ServSafe Manager exam

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalence
• 1-2 years of customer service/sales experience preferred. Previous deli experience is a plus.
