Full-Time Maintenance Apprentice

About This Role

Join our team as a Full-Time Maintenance Apprentice for commercial buildings, performing preventative maintenance inspections, repairs, and ensuring mechanical equipment is functioning correctly. This role offers training for motivated individuals eager to learn building maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs including carpentry, painting, masonry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
• Interact with property managers, vendors, and customers with excellent customer service skills
• Ensure mechanical equipment and systems are working properly and fixed as necessary
• Drive a golf cart on premises as needed
• Access confined spaces for maintenance tasks
• Create and maintain work orders
• Create and maintain purchase orders
• Perform additional maintenance-related duties as required by HBM supervisor/property management

Requirements

• Successfully pass a background check
• Valid driver’s license
• Access to a reliable vehicle
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
• Ability to perform basic manual labor, lift 60-75lbs, reach, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, and stand throughout shift

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred

• Hands-on experience in basic plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, and grounds maintenance
• Mechanical aptitude
