Full Charge Bookkeeper

About This Role

Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for a small, highly specialized real estate development team focusing on luxury residences for ultra-high-net-worth clients. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and accuracy in managing financial operations across multiple high-value projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day bookkeeping activities for development and related entities
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoices, retainers, and client billings
• Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts across multiple projects or entities
• Perform bank, credit card, and escrow account reconciliations
• Process payroll and coordinate with third-party payroll and tax providers
• Support month-end and year-end close activities
• Track project-level costs across custom home builds
• Monitor budgets, draws, and cash flow for active projects
• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and internal reporting packages
• Support tax preparation, audits, and entity-level reporting

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in full-charge bookkeeping or full-cycle accounting
• Solid understanding of job costing, project accounting, and multi-entity structures
• Experience with accounting software
• Payroll experience, either in-house or via third-party providers
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
• Ability to work independently in a small, hands-on environment
• Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with ownership

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in full-charge bookkeeping or full-cycle accounting

• Prior experience in real estate development, construction, architecture, or luxury services
• Experience with construction or real estate accounting systems
