About This Role

This role is the first point of contact for patients, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and managing administrative tasks to ensure a smooth check-in/out experience.

Responsibilities

  • Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with patients
  • Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter
  • Display a professional attitude, greet patients promptly, and thank them when they leave
  • Answer phones; assure prompt, courteous service at all times
  • Practice urgency with consideration to the patient's and doctor's time and schedule
  • Double check insurance authorizations to ensure completion and build accurate flow sheets
  • Check out patients and collect correct payments according to procedures
  • Manage patient flow in the office and ensure communication to maximize efficiency and customer service
  • Complete daily reconciliations / close day / countdown cash drawer
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including HIPAA
  • Perform general office duties and cleaning as assigned by the manager

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients
  • Favorable result on background check
  • Proof of identity and right to work in the United States

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or equivalent

Nice to Have

  • Previous medical office experience
  • Previous ophthalmic experience
