Forward Deployed Engineer

About This Role

This role acts as the crucial connection between Artisan and its key clients, combining engineering, consulting, and advisory expertise. The position involves collaborating with sales, success, and product teams to maximize customer value from Ava, Artisan's AI BDR.

Responsibilities

• Scope how Ava integrates into customer GTM stacks, identifying replacements, integrations, and ideal workflows
• Engineer customer-specific features and integrations using the TypeScript full-stack codebase
• Manage end-to-end implementations, partnering with customer success managers to drive adoption
• Travel to customer offices for in-person discovery, scoping sessions, and onboarding
• Join sales calls to provide technical credibility and help close complex deals
• Stay hands-on throughout the customer lifecycle to ensure measurable ROI
• Feed customer insights back to product and engineering to shape the roadmap

Requirements

• 3+ years as a forward-deployed/solutions engineer, field engineer, or full-stack engineer
• Strong TypeScript experience across the stack (Node.js, React, or similar frameworks)
• Comfortable leading technical conversations with RevOps leaders and sales teams
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to travel frequently (up to 50%)

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a forward-deployed/solutions engineer, field engineer, or full-stack engineer

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating with CRMs, marketing automation tools, and sales tech (Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, etc.)
