Forklift Operator

About This Role

This role involves the safe and accurate loading, unloading, and movement of products within a distribution center using material handling equipment. The MHE Operator will ensure inventory reconciliation, maintain a safe work environment, and support overall warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload inbound/outbound shipments using the WMS
• Research and resolve discrepancies between inventory counts and shipping/receiving documents
• Load and off-load pallets safely to prevent damages
• Complete assigned duties in a timely manner according to department standards and procedures
• Locate, retrieve, and replenish products in picking locations
• Maintain an acceptable work area as outlined in SOP and work instructions
• Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP
• Operate material handling equipment safely and report maintenance issues immediately
• Assist in maintaining warehouse security and report suspicious activity
• Follow guidelines to ensure facility cleanliness

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED or 1 year of relevant experience
• Experience with MHE (Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, Counter Balance, Dock Stocker)
• Forklift Certification
• Good verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents
• Ability to work well with others
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Ability to operate MHE and use Voice/RF scanner
• Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment
• Basic analytical, organizational and prioritization skills

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or 1 year of relevant experience
• 1 year of relevant experience or Entry level
