About This Role

The Foreman supervises and directs a group of workers in a specific occupation, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and company standards. This role involves interpreting blueprints, assigning duties, training workers, and resolving work-related problems to maintain unit production.

Responsibilities

• Uphold company safety guidelines for all employees under direction
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and written/verbal orders
• Assign duties and follow up on all work, taking responsibility for unit production
• Inspect work to ensure adherence to company standards
• Train and assist workers in the performance of their duties
• Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned construction workers
• Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations
• Analyze and resolve work-related problems
• Implement safety programs
• Ensure job site materials and equipment are in good condition

Requirements

• Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Mechanic A/Journeyman
• Knowledgeable in his/her craft to lead others
• Possesses basic leadership/mentor skills
• Able to plan/coordinate multiple job tasks at the same time

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent
• Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Mechanic A/Journeyman
