The Food & Consumables Coach leads and develops teams to drive financial performance and sales within a designated store area, while modeling exceptional customer service standards. This role involves managing operations, merchandising, and ensuring a high-quality customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop teams effectively through training, feedback, and communication
- Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards for store associates
- Drive financial performance and sales of designated store area by managing budgets, inventory, and mitigating shrink
- Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, including hiring, training, and mentoring
- Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments, building accountability and identifying improvement opportunities
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, promoting a belonging mindset
- Promote a culture of belonging and create opportunities for associates to thrive
- Attract and retain talent, empower development, and recognize contributions
- Act with integrity, maintaining high standards of ethics and compliance
- Serve customers first, making data-driven decisions while considering all stakeholders
Requirements
- Firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training (for facilities that sell firearms)
- Current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility (for facilities that sell only ammunition with state specific requirements)
- Successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments
Qualifications
- 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
- 1 year of retail or general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience
Nice to Have
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership
- Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing
