About This Role

This role is for a Flight RN on the Kite Flight team, responsible for safely transporting patients between medical facilities and accident scenes as part of a specialty transport team of experts. An important aspect includes collaboration with other medical and emergency service providers for the purpose of establishing continuity of care by applying problem solving strategies to patient case challenges, adapting to a dynamic and challenging environment, and advancing treatment modalities/interventions with the end goals of providing the highest patient care and improving patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport patients between medical facilities and accident scenes.
  • Collaborate with other medical and emergency service providers to establish continuity of care.
  • Apply problem-solving strategies to patient case challenges.
  • Adapt to dynamic and challenging environments.
  • Advance treatment modalities and interventions.
  • Deliver the highest patient care and improve patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program
  • Texas Registered Nurse License upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • National Provider PALS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • Within 1 year: National Trauma Nursing Core Course - Emergency Nurses Association
  • Within 2 years: Neonatal Pediatric Transport Subspecialty Certification (C-NPT) OR Registered Nurse Certified in Inpatient Obstetrics (RNC-OB) OR Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN)
  • 3 or more years of experience in acute care nursing

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program
  • 3 or more years of experience in acute care nursing

Nice to Have

  • 5 or more years of PICU, NICU, and/or L&D experience
  • 3 or more years of Flight Nursing/Specialty Transport Nursing
