Fleet Automotive Mechanic

About This Role

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on AMR vehicles to ensure they are correctly and timely maintained. This role requires experience as an automotive or truck mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance checks on all fleet vehicles
• Perform A/C system repairs
• Conduct electrical and emissions diagnosis
• Service chassis and suspension
• Maintain brake and hydraulic systems
• Perform exhaust and welding repair
• Execute fluid changes and general maintenance
• Perform NYS inspections
• Respond to occasional vehicle breakdowns in the field
• Complete all required paperwork neatly, correctly and on time

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years automotive or truck mechanic experience
• Current valid driver’s license
• Full set of personal tools
• Basic automotive knowledge and skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent education
• 2+ years automotive or truck mechanic experience

Nice to Have

• NYS Inspection license
• 2 ASE Certifications (Truck or Automotive series), preferably Brake and Steering/Suspension
• MACS AC Certification or equivalent ASE Certification
