Firewall/Proxy Engineer

About This Role

This role involves ensuring the technological and digital security of a bank by mitigating cyber threats and resolving security incidents. It requires strong expertise in firewall and proxy technologies, with a focus on NSX, ZScaler, and Palo Alto Firewall.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the technological and digital security of the Bank at a high level of ability and technical expertise
• Mitigate exposure to cyber threats, security risks, and unauthorized access
• Assess organizational networks, applications, or systems for potential vulnerabilities
• Protect assets and information through a variety of methods, resolving security issues or incidents as they arise
• Maintain strong knowledge of industry practices, technology, and evolving threats to enhance defenses for the Bank’s information systems and resources
• May oversee less experienced associates in the work group

Requirements

• NSX Firewall knowledge
• Knowledge of ZScaler
• Basic troubleshooting of network traffic
• Python Scripting (with API's to FWs)
• In Depth knowledge of Palo Alto Firewall, including Panorama
