Usability Specialist

About This Role

This role involves conducting usability tests and user research to improve the client's online selling platform. The specialist will focus on the seller experience, advocating for their needs, and communicating findings to the design team to ensure user-friendly interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Document best practices for user research of sellers and create a seller usability toolkit
• Promote usability best practices within the selling organization and design team
• Conduct various user experience studies, including competitive reviews, focus groups, and usability tests
• Create tasks and materials for testing and define success criteria for each study
• Present usability study results and provide actionable, research-based recommendations to product team members
• Observe user sessions, analyze findings, and communicate them to the design team for implementation
• Collaborate with designers to analyze and refine wireframes and mockups to enhance ease of use and positive consumer experience

Requirements

• Evaluative user research
• Moderation (Moderative User Research)
• Design and conduct user research (design and concept evaluations)
• Researcher tools experience

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Cognitive or Experimental Psychology, Technical Communication, Human Computer Interaction, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years experience doing user research and conducting formal usability studies
