About This Role

The Fire Sprinkler Apprentice will learn and develop skills to install, test, repair, and maintain fire sprinkler systems under the guidance of experienced technicians. This role involves assisting with efficient installation, adhering to safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply proper techniques to cut, thread, and fit pipes for fire sprinkler systems
• Acquire knowledge of fire sprinkler system components, codes, regulations, and safety procedures
• Conduct routine inspections and tests on fire sprinkler systems and report findings
• Collaborate to troubleshoot and repair fire sprinkler system components like valves, pipes, and fittings
• Maintain accurate records of installation details, repairs, inspections, and tests
• Work with the installation team to ensure timely project completion
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and guidelines
• Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and changes in fire sprinkler system technology and regulations
• Demonstrate a professional and customer-focused approach when interacting with stakeholders

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Proficiency in working with hand and power tools
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Comfortable working with a computer
• Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in the field of fire sprinkler system installation
