Manage the day-to-day financial operations for a well-established law firm in Philadelphia, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and overall financial health. The role involves overseeing accounts payable/receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily financial operations including accounts payable/receivable, billing, payroll coordination, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Record and reconcile all trust account activity (IOLTA) in compliance with state bar regulations
- Reconcile operating and trust accounts and credit card statements monthly
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, cash flow reports, and variance analyses
- Maintain accurate financial records, trial balances, and ledger entries
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and assist with annual audits
- Utilize accounting and practice management software (QuickBooks Online)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong knowledge of IOLTA / Trust Accounting
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online
- Solid understanding of GAAP and legal accounting practices
- Exceptional attention to detail and high level of integrity
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial staff
