About This Role

Manage the day-to-day financial operations for a well-established law firm in Philadelphia, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and overall financial health. The role involves overseeing accounts payable/receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily financial operations including accounts payable/receivable, billing, payroll coordination, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Record and reconcile all trust account activity (IOLTA) in compliance with state bar regulations
  • Reconcile operating and trust accounts and credit card statements monthly
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, cash flow reports, and variance analyses
  • Maintain accurate financial records, trial balances, and ledger entries
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and assist with annual audits
  • Utilize accounting and practice management software (QuickBooks Online)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong knowledge of IOLTA / Trust Accounting
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and legal accounting practices
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high level of integrity
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial staff
