Field Services Engineer

About This Role

Deliver exceptional technical support, maintenance, and validation services for sterilization equipment in the pharmaceutical and food industries. This role involves extensive travel to customer sites for equipment installation, repair, and validation activities.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on product lines
• Troubleshoot, repair, and refurbish standard and specialized equipment and system components
• Lead and supervise installation of equipment at customer sites
• Conduct factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT)
• Perform comprehensive validation activities including IQ/OQ/PQ, thermal mapping, and cycle development
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
• Complete all required documentation including service call certificates, expense reports, and calibration certificates
• Identify and communicate sales opportunities to management and sales teams
• Maintain professional, courteous demeanor with all customers, contractors, and colleagues

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in General Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience
• Proficiency with diagnostic test equipment (volt-ohm meters, amp probes, precision temperature/pressure calibration tools)
• Ability to read and interpret P&ID and electrical/pneumatic schematics
• General knowledge of sterilization principles, steam systems, and decontamination methods
• Experience solving complex mechanical and system problems
• Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in General Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of biopharmaceutical industry standards
• Experience with industrial controls and central processing systems
