About This Role

The Field Service Engineer provides installation, preventive, and corrective maintenance on medical devices. This role involves supporting the entire lifecycle of mechanical, electromechanical, and software-based instruments, ensuring their safe and efficient operation while building strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, modify, and repair mechanical, electromechanical, and software-based instruments, including calibration, cleaning, and testing.
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships, review solutions, discuss needs, and ensure safe operational conditions.
  • Support the sale of service contracts and collaborate with sales representatives and service team members on system configurations, upgrades, installations, and moves.
  • Provide feedback to improve financial performance and generate service revenue.
  • Complete service administration activities promptly, adhering to ISO, FDA, and BD policies.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or Technical School equivalent (applicable equivalent military experience considered)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
  • Collaboration with sales representatives and service team members
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and at least 3 years of driving history
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, including occasional overnight stays
  • Ability to drive up to 6 hours within a day and in adverse weather conditions

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or Technical School equivalent

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience diagnosing and repairing medical devices, electromechanical equipment, or scientific instruments
  • Bachelor of Science in a related field
  • Experience in Field Service Engineering and/or Networking/IT System Upgrades
  • Experience in a lab or hospital environment
