Field Engineer Staff THAAD

About This Role

Lead the Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) Team for the THAAD missile defense system, overseeing logistics, maintenance, and sustainment for a strategic international partner. This role involves coordinating CLS work across COCNUS locations and providing surge support to OCONUS sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead the CLS team and instructor cadre, directing daily tasks, priorities, and performance standards
• Oversee all THAAD system maintenance and sustainment activities throughout new equipment training cycles
• Manage logistics support for the program, acting as the liaison between Lockheed Martin, the Missile Defense Agency, and partner stakeholders
• Coordinate maintenance operations at WSMR, Fort Bliss, and Huntsville, and mobilize surge resources for OCONUS missions as needed
• Convert customer and product requirements into feasible logistics solutions that meet technical, schedule, and cost targets
• Provide timely status reports and data on system support and maintenance progress to program management
• Initiate engineering reach back for advanced troubleshooting, leveraging subject matter experts to resolve complex issues
• Conduct virtual and on-site briefings with key LM and MDA stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and rapid issue resolution

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant experience in Field Service and/or Systems Engineering
• Previous experience with the THAAD system (or similar system)
• An active U.S. Department of Defense SECRET Security Clearance
• A valid U.S. Passport with no restrictions on travel
• Willingness to travel intermittently to remote CONUS & OCONUS locations
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with stakeholders
• Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication for THAAD system maintenance requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of relevant experience working in Field Service and / or Systems Engineering (or similar position)

Nice to Have

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in appropriate field and/or equivalent military background
• Previous experience as a THAAD or Patriot Field Service Leader, Contractor Logistics Support Leader and/or Maintenance Leader
• Demonstrated ability in interpreting technical manuals, engineering drawings, schematics, interface specifications, and system level requirements
• Demonstrated ability in applying troubleshooting and fault detection/isolation methods
• Previous experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple technical disciplines
• Previous experience executing maintenance management in a military environment
• Previous experience developing new equipment training material for military systems
• Program/Project Management experience with ability to articulate sophisticated technical and programmatic issues
• Basic knowledge of electrical/mechanical aptitude
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic operations
• Basic knowledge of Army Supply System
• Basic knowledge of Army Sustainment (i.e. Depot Maintenance) concepts/processes
• Basic knowledge of Army Field Maintenance concepts/processes
• Other desired military (MOS) training: 14A / 140A / 14E / 140E / 14H / 14T / 25U
