Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

About This Role

Peachtree Immediate Care is seeking an advanced practice provider to manage episodic and chronic conditions for patients aged 2 and up in a fast-paced clinical environment, performing minor office procedures and various physicals.

Responsibilities

• Manage episodic and chronic conditions with walk-ins and same-day appointments as the sole advanced practice provider for those ages 2 and up
• Perform minor office procedures including laceration repair, incision and drainage, toenail removal, and orthopedic splinting
• Perform physicals such as sports, DOT, pre-employment, and annual
• Evaluate patients for workers’ compensation injuries

Requirements

• Master’s degree (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)
• Appropriate state license (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations including OSHA, HIPAA, blood borne pathogens
• Understanding of medical coding and billing
• Detail-oriented and confident in medical best practices
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Competent with common PC applications including Internet, Email and Microsoft Office
• Competent with EMR applications

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)
• 2+ years’ experience in providing patient care as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is preferred

Nice to Have

• 2+ years’ experience in providing patient care as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• ABMS Board certification in internal medicine or family practice
• Experience with occupational health practices including DOT qualification, drug testing protocols, employment physicals, and OSHA guidelines
