Facility Supervisor

About This Role

Supervise and coordinate the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of buildings and grounds, including routine maintenance, sanitation, and utility systems. This role ensures facilities meet organizational needs, supports budget planning, guides team members, and maintains compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct repairs and ensure functionality of systems (ammonia, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, forklift, facility equipment, etc.)
• Oversee sanitation, landscaping, and groundskeeping activities
• Implement and enforce safety procedures, conducting regular inspections
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and food safety standards
• Coordinate and manage relationships with third-party contractors for maintenance and sanitation services
• Manage facility expenses to align with budgets and oversee utility usage
• Manage and train maintenance, janitorial, and other facilities staff, if applicable
• Assist the General Manager with renovations, new builds, and facility improvements
• Collaborate with management and teams on strategic planning for facility infrastructure to support growth
• Perform regular facility inspections and risk assessments
• Respond to facility emergencies and service requests
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance, services, and contracts
• Communicate safety protocols and procedures timely

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Understanding of plant operational processes and procedures
• Ability to monitor operational process quality
• Ability to identify and discuss production and personnel issues pro-actively
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Good organizational skills and capability to prioritize time and tasks
• Knowledge of Radio Frequency scanning devices
• Basic math skills
• Management experience
• 3-5 years forklift experience
• Strong sense of emotional intelligence
• Ability to work a flexible shift, including weekends as needed
• Ability to meet all security requirements and/or pass a drug and alcohol test (for security sensitive positions)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years forklift experience, proven supervisory experience in a food handling environment

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a food handling environment
• Ability to work well in a team-based environment with limited supervision
• Ability to produce results in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
