Assist the Facility Maintenance and Electrical Engineering teams, gaining exposure to troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment, and participating in design and prototype builds.
Responsibilities
- Assist Maintenance Technicians in routine maintenance on facilities, manufacturing equipment, and grounds with a specific focus on electrical projects
- Observe and assist in the performance of basic electrical work, such as safely troubleshooting electrical issues with outlets, breakers, fuses, electronic controls, and relocation of circuits
- Use schematics, hand tools, electrical gauges and common test equipment for calibration, diagnosis, and repair/maintenance of equipment
- Relocate and setup employee workspaces and equipment
- Shadow Electrical Engineering and aid in daily tasks as needed in relation to product development
- Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
- Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
- Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be at least in the equivalency of successfully completing Sophomore year of college before starting the internship
- Work on-site in Duryea, Pennsylvania
- No conflict of interest with the department manager
- Provide approval documents from their college or university to receive college credit
- Friendly team player, professional, detail-oriented, and honest
- Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment
- Ability to apply coursework and foundational knowledge to practical applications
- Ability to use electrical tools (i.e., multi-meter, oscilloscope, soldering iron and crimp tools), hand tools and standard power tools
- Ability to read and comprehend work instructions
- Ability to prepare and build prototypes
- Ability to push/pull/lift up to 40 lbs.

- Basic technical skills and a willingness to learn
- Strong understanding of electrical and control circuits
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications
- Pursuit of/degree in Electrical Construction Technology or Electrical Engineering
- No experience required
