The Executive Director, Facilities Operations will oversee and expand the Energy & Resource portfolio, focusing on both soft and hard services including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. This role involves leading facilities maintenance operations across mega-site or multi-site units and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead or direct facilities maintenance operations of building(s) and property at a single mega-site or multi-site unit
- Assist in the leadership of a large mega or multi-site unit reporting up to a VP, Facilities Operations
- Lead or assist in the integration of processes within the client organization to maintain and develop agreed services
- Contribute to the delivery of strategic and operational objectives by reducing facility costs and improving productivity
- Ensure a safe and efficient working environment, essential to the performance of the business
- Manage construction work and coordinate or oversee contracted services for major construction
- Manage other core Sodexo services, and/or logistics of business/operations services (e.g., grounds keeping, laundry, food, security, inventory, mail, concierge services)
Requirements
- Proven leadership in managing complex facilities operations across mega-site or multi-site environments
- Strategic oversight experience with multi-tiered management structures
- Expertise in integrating facilities processes with client operations
- Demonstrated success in reducing facility costs while boosting productivity and organizational image
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and efficiency
- Hands-on experience managing large-scale construction projects and coordinating contracted services
- Versatility in overseeing a broad range of Sodexo core services (food, security, laundry, groundskeeping, and logistics)
- Collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 7 years in facilities management, engineering, or management of business/operations service in both soft and hard facilities services
