This role is responsible for greeting customers on the service drive, assessing their interest in trading in their current vehicle, and facilitating the exchange process to encourage upgrades to new or used vehicles. The coordinator will also maintain customer records and provide high-level customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet customer on service drive and perform a needs analysis including service needs and history, and opportunity/desire for potential trade
- Assess customer’s desire to trade in their current vehicle, for an inventory vehicle, including make, type, and features of vehicle
- Identify and qualify potential trade-in vehicles by assessing the condition of customers’ current vehicles
- Present trade-in offers based on the customer’s vehicle history and current market value
- Encourage customers to consider upgrading to a new or used vehicle from the dealership
- Communicate customer preferences and trade in appraisals to the sales management for assignment to sales consultant
- Update customer records and trade-in data within the dealership’s customer relationship management (CRM) system
- Attend/complete required training and department meetings
- Provide a high level of customer service and ensure all customers feel valued and informed during their time in the service drive
- Address any customer concerns or questions related to vehicle trade-ins or exchanges
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Proficient in MS Office Programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint)
- Familiarity with office technology and equipment
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED; previous sales experience and college degree preferred
- Prior sales / customer service experience is preferred.
