Event Technician, Audio Visual

About This Role

This role is responsible for setting up and operating basic to small-scale audiovisual systems within a hospitality environment, ensuring flawless event execution and complete customer satisfaction. The technician will troubleshoot equipment, maintain customer relationships, and utilize event technology systems.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and timely set up, operate, and break down basic audiovisual equipment
• Exceed internal and external customer expectations
• Maintain positive relationships with clients through effective communication
• Meet with guests on site to ensure needs are met and equipment setup is working properly
• Monitor events and check in on customers throughout the day
• Understand technical aspects of the job and troubleshoot equipment and software issues
• Handle equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner
• Understand company processes, follow procedures, and complete systems entry and paperwork accurately
• Use equipment sheets to determine equipment scheduled for set up and strike
• Increase revenue by utilizing floor up-selling techniques

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required. Associate’s degree is preferred.
• 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred. 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment is preferred.
