Event Operations Assistant

About This Role

This seasonal Event Operations Assistant position involves the planning, organization, and execution of soccer and non-soccer events across multiple venues. The role is integral to managing event credentials, utilizing planning software, and leading smaller events to create positive experiences.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Credential Management process on event days, including printing, organizing, laminating, and distributing credentials.
• Read and interpret event orders, task lists, and venue software for credential approval and archiving.
• Organize and manage a variety of soccer and non-soccer events across three venues.
• Utilize SharePoint, calendar management systems, and other planning software for event planning.
• Create and distribute event documents such as run of show, event briefs, and budgeting sheets.
• Manage smaller scale events, including soccer matches and corporate meetings, as the event lead.
• Prioritize and be available for 1st team Crew matches and MLS NextPro as needed.
• Work in tandem with the operations team and other departments.
• Effectively communicate with guests to create positive and memorable experiences.
• Represent the Columbus Crew and MLS in all interactions.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Experience coordinating events in a stadium or arena
• Detailed oriented and highly organized
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve in high-stress, live event situations
• Exceptional interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays and non-traditional hours
