Eurythmy Teacher

About This Role

Teach Eurythmy to students from Pre-K through 8th grade at a Waldorf school, creating curriculum and lesson plans aligned with Waldorf pedagogy. This role involves nurturing the class community, maintaining relationships with parents and colleagues, and participating in school activities.

Responsibilities

• Research established eurythmy curriculum and methodologies for assigned grade levels
• Create yearly curriculum and develop lesson plans with appropriate activities
• Prepare and present lessons inspired by and expressive of Waldorf pedagogy
• Work with class teachers and other specialty teachers to nurture the class community
• Maintain positive relationships with parents and respond to concerns
• Maintain positive, professional relationships with colleagues and respond to concerns
• Schedule and participate in parent conferences as necessary
• Attend parent evenings when requested by class teacher
• Work with colleagues in faculty and section meetings
• Participate in all-school work days, festivals, and committee meetings
• Submit end-of-year reports
• Submit quarterly and semester reports/grades (middle school only)
• Write student recommendations as needed

Requirements

• Eurythmy training complete or in progress
• 2-5 years experience working with children/students
• Excellent communication skills with children and adults

Qualifications

• 2-5 years experience working with children/students

Nice to Have

• Over 5 years of experience
• Eurythmy program certification
• Experience in a school setting
