Environmental Services - Manager in Training

About This Role

This Manager-In-Training role provides hands-on and computer-based training to prepare you for managing an account within healthcare facilities. You will learn to oversee housekeeping, laundry, and environmental services while ensuring quality standards and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform job assignments of housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor tech, and laundry worker positions
• Operate and teach others to operate industrial cleaning equipment
• Assist in training, quality control, and in-servicing staff according to policies and procedures
• Provide leadership guidance to ensure quality standards, inventory, safety, and customer service expectations are met
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment in report format
• Effectively handle managerial responsibilities including payroll submission, staffing, coaching, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting
• Communicate directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to staff
• Utilize protective gear and safely mix/use cleaning solutions, adhering to all safety precautions
• Ensure established standards, safety, and quality guidelines are met, following infection control and universal precautions
• Positively represent HCSG through courteous and cooperative interactions with supervisors, co-workers, and client staff
• Maintain positive, pleasant, and tactful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests

Requirements

• Demonstrate a positive attitude with ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks daily
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills with ability to maintain records and complete web-based reports
• Ability to be at work as scheduled and on time
• Compliance with COVID-19 Vaccination Policies as required
• Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods
• Ability to work around food and cleaning products
• Must live in the service area

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
