About This Role

This EMT role involves responding to emergency and non-emergency medical requests, providing high-quality patient care, and operating an ambulance safely. You will assess patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services while documenting information and maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment of patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights
• Provide a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients
• Use appropriate EMT skills including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment and tools
• Operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies and traffic laws
• Work collaboratively and professionally with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as fellow EMTs
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Florida State EMT License
• State Driver’s License
• BLS certification
• NREMT certification
• Driving record compliant with company policy
• Ability to pass Physical Agility Test

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Some work experience, preferably healthcare

• Related experience in healthcare
