About This Role

Join as a Part-Time Veterinarian to provide exceptional emergency veterinary care with predictable hours and a consistent home hospital assignment, supported by national resources. This role offers flexibility and maintains clinical engagement while balancing personal interests.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups
  • Communicate with clients and provide education
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures and surgery
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Perform pharmacy duties including prescribing medications and following controlled substance protocols
  • Promote teamwork and staff efficiency
  • Collaborate with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities
  • Evaluate and monitor protocols for hospital operations from intake to discharge
  • Monitor cases and attend daily rounds when possible to ensure high standards

Requirements

  • Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD)
  • Current State Veterinary License
  • DEA registration
  • 1+ years of experience in emergency practice
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
  • Excellent surgical and dental skills
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality veterinary care
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, efficiently, and in a timely manner with all members of the Medical and Hospital staff
  • Client communication skills
  • Display confidence and reassurance when dealing with pets experiencing severe stress, illness, or pain
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

  • Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university
  • 1+ years of experience in emergency practice
