Emergency Medical Technician

About This Role

Provide emergency and non-emergency medical care and transportation to patients in Yavapai County, Arizona, as part of a rapidly growing national ambulance service.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency scenes to provide emergency medical care and transportation
• Provide non-emergency medical care and transportation to hospitals, nursing homes, and other locations
• Administer medical care and monitoring at the scene, en route to the hospital, and during facility transfers

Requirements

• Currently licensed as EMT in the desired location or eligible for reciprocity
• Currently certified in CPR by AHA or other appropriate organization
• Currently licensed with the appropriate level of state motor vehicle operator’s license
• Pass background check and drug screen
• Clean driving record as approved by company vehicle liability insurer
• Ability to reach, push and pull
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat and kneel for long periods of time
• Ability to walk up and down stairs without difficulty
• Ability to lift and maneuver 150 pounds without difficulty
• Ability to lift and maneuver 150 pounds up and down two flights of stairs without difficulty
• Ability to walk a distance of one quarter of a mile without difficulty
• Ability to complete all job duties during any and all hours of the day and night
