This entry-level Email Marketing Specialist role involves planning, creating, and delivering email campaigns to engage donors, volunteers, and readers for a non-profit organization. You will use meaningful, story-driven communication to inspire action and strengthen relationships within the community.
Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and scheduling email campaigns using Brevo (training provided)
- Write and edit compelling email content that reflects Deliverance Charities’ voice and mission
- Segment audiences (donors, volunteers, subscribers, sponsors) for targeted messaging
- Support automated workflows such as welcome sequences, newsletters, and campaign updates
- Track performance metrics (open rates, click-throughs, engagement) and prepare simple reports
- Collaborate with the Content and Resource Development teams to align messaging with fundraising goals
- Maintain email lists and ensure contact data is organized and compliant with privacy standards
Requirements
- Passion for storytelling, community impact, and digital communication
- Excellent writing, editing, and organization skills
- Creative mindset with attention to detail and tone consistency
- Willingness to learn and grow within a collaborative nonprofit environment
Qualifications
- Entry-level position; experience in email marketing platforms a plus, but not required.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Brevo, Mailchimp, or similar)
- Basic understanding of marketing analytics and campaign tracking
