Oversee and lead electrical installation projects for mission-critical data centers, providing guidance and training to junior electricians. Install, maintain, modify, and repair electrical distribution systems and associated equipment to ensure operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Oversee job site operations
- Mentor and train junior electricians
- Act as crew leader and/or Foreman as needed
- Install, maintain, modify, and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment
- Locate electrical underground utilities for various projects
- Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit
- Troubleshoot issues and make recommendations to resolve the situation
- Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment for installations or service
- Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches and switch gears
- Supervise inspections and repairs on Main Power Distribution Systems, Panel Boards and other electrical systems
- Oversee repair to line voltage for all HVAC systems
- Record and report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as time and materials expended on work orders
- Conduct tests and inspect equipment, services or processes to evaluate quality or performance
- Respond to emergency power and back-up systems failures
- Effectively communicate status of jobs, issues, recommendations, etc. to management
- Provide timely and completed documentation of work performed
- Drive company vehicle throughout service area while following all local laws
- Operate vehicles and other equipment safely; adhere to safety protocols; report hazards and risks
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 8+ years' experience in electrical field
- Master Electrician license or equivalent electrical training and experience
- Valid driver's license in good standing
