Support the design and manufacturing of bioprocessing equipment, focusing on electrical components, subsystems, and product testing. This role involves cabinet design, schematic creation, and troubleshooting in a collaborative engineering environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and modify electrical and mechanical cabinets according to customer requirements and company standards
- Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings using CAD software
- Develop and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) for electrical components and panels
- Conduct necessary electrical calculations and perform simulations to optimize designs
- Research and select appropriate electrical components and materials to ensure optimal system performance and compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and production engineers, to ensure seamless integration and successful project execution
- Provide technical support to the production team during assembly and to the service team during installation and troubleshooting
- Participate in design reviews, testing, and evaluation of prototypes to ensure they meet quality and performance standards
- Generate and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, diagrams, and assembly drawings
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience with technical certification
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) for electrical design
- Understanding of electrical principles and PLCs-based control systems
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations (e.g., UL, NEC)
- Good problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Entry-level position; no prior experience explicitly stated as required beyond degree.
Nice to Have
- Experience with or understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial automation
- Experience with SolidWorks
