Electrical Engineer

About This Role

Join an innovative engineering team to design, develop, and maintain electrical schematics and 3D models for remote-operated heavy equipment in the metals and mining industry. Diagnose and resolve electrical issues and collaborate with various teams to provide engineering support.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain detailed electrical schematics and 3D models for new and existing equipment using CAD tools
• Diagnose and resolve low- and high-voltage electrical issues in a timely manner
• Collaborate with manufacturing, sales, service, and sourcing teams to provide Engineering support across departments
• Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant industry standards, technologies, and best practices related to mobile, remote operated heavy equipment
• Implement innovative technologies where applicable

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Electromechanical Engineering
• 0-5 years of relevant Engineering experience
• Proficiency with Engineering design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, DraftSight)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Electromechanical Engineering
• 0-5 years of relevant Engineering experience

• Strong judgment and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Hands-on, problem-solving mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results
• Experience with electro-hydraulic systems and controls
• Familiarity with PLC programming and troubleshooting
• Experience working with ERP systems (Syteline is a plus)
• Willingness to travel as needed
