This role is responsible for maintaining productivity levels by interpreting instructions, reading schematics and blueprints, and performing electrical assembly tasks. The Electrical Assembler will wire control panels, make terminations, and inspect completed units for a leading boiler and burner systems manufacturer.
Responsibilities
- Maintain productivity levels according to plant goals
- Interpret instructions and read schematics, blueprints, and drawings
- Mount back panel devices and wire per schematics
- Lay out and wire control panel and junction boxes
- Make terminations and connections
- Fasten wiring, cut, trim and strip wire
- Know how and where to mount components
- Inspect and test completed units for flaws and imperfections
- Tag or mark identifying information on parts
- Position and fasten units to assemblies and subassemblies
- Measure dimensions/clearance of parts
- Cut and mount panel and electrical conduit
- Train others to install, use, or maintain equipment
Requirements
- Able to read and write English
- Able to read tape measure
- Proficient in using various hand and wiring tools, including various power tools
- Clear understanding of Ohms, Amps, and Volts
- Proficient in the use of multimeters and other electrical testing equipment
- Clear understanding of electric/electronic components: PLC’s, Transformers, Capacitors, Relays
- Knowledge of logic in circuitry, the workings of electrical components, and their function within a circuit
- Ability to lift up to 65 lbs
- Ability to work up to 12 hours standing and walking on hard cement surface
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Education preferred
