About This Role

Manage electric distribution projects for utility clients, ensuring performance, financial metrics, and client satisfaction while leading engineering deliverables and coordinating third-party entities. This role involves local and regional travel to client offices and project sites.

Responsibilities

  • Support project teams in completing engineering design for electric infrastructure projects
  • Manage overall project performance including scope, schedule, budget, and reporting
  • Develop and implement recovery plans to maintain compliance with approved budgets and timelines
  • Ensure full contract compliance and adherence to client requirements
  • Drive deliverables by coordinating with Engineering Leads, Managers, and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Maintain and document compliance with established quality control processes
  • Serve as the primary interface with clients and internal management to resolve issues, track progress, and report costs, schedule adherence, and risks
  • Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, functional leaders, and support personnel
  • Contribute to bid preparation, cost estimates, and RFP responses
  • Manage monthly invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable within prescribed deadlines
  • Collaborate with teams to identify and pursue business development opportunities

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of project management experience
  • PMP Certification
  • Proficiency with project management software (Workfront, MS Project, P6, or similar)
  • Strong MS Office skills, advanced proficiency in Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Proven experience managing project financials, scopes, and schedules
  • Ability to plan, organize, direct, and track technical efforts across multiple tasks
  • Strong understanding of project financial planning, monitoring, and reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or additional relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
  • 2-4 years of prior relevant project management experience

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with various contract types (Fixed Price, Time & Materials)
  • Direct utility industry experience, including exposure to projects for major U.S. electric utilities
  • Demonstrated success in collaborative, team-based consulting environments
