The EHR Specialist II maintains the Electronic Health Record system, focusing on user management, form development, and support for a behavioral health organization. This role ensures the EHR operates efficiently and in compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Set up new hire EHR profiles and manage user changes, including LMS course and Credible profile setup.
- Manage user terminations and leaves of absence by removing EHR access and user profiles.
- Provide support for medical user needs, such as eRx token setup and eLab problem resolution.
- Contribute to the design and maintenance of EHR forms and develop user guides, knowledge base articles, and training materials.
- Resolve task tickets, provide ongoing support for EHR software issues through the ticketing system, and coordinate with Credible for software issue resolution.
- Manage client portal development and use, and become a subject matter expert on all aspects of the EHR system.
- Collaborate with the EHR Manager to develop and maintain administrative and clinical workflows and provide ad-hoc training.
- Attend training events, staff meetings, Credible User Group meetings, run monthly QA and Credential Attachment reports.
- Ensure the EHR works in accordance with State and County regulations and continuously improve processes that utilize the EHR system.
- Work independently on special projects and interact with non-computer personnel as a trainer.
Requirements
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher)
- 2+ years of hands-on EHR experience

- Proficiency with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)

Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on EHR experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience in health services administration or non-profit environment
- Knowledge of clinical workflows, county requirements, and MediCal regulations
