Serve as a doorman and host for a busy restaurant, bar, and event venue, ensuring guest safety, promoting responsible alcohol consumption, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Manage the flow of guests into the establishment
- Check identification
- Welcome guests and thank them on their way out
- Communicate issues as they arise to management
- Monitor problematic guests
- Assist other team members as required
- Perform crowd control and traffic direction
Requirements
- Must be 21 or over
- Ability to determine legitimacy of ID's and refuse service/entry to intoxicated individuals
- Ability to quickly build rapport with guests and create a welcoming atmosphere
- Ability to articulate greetings and farewells and understand requests for assistance
- Ability to clearly communicate guests’ concerns to management
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant host/greeting experience preferred
Certifications
Alcohol Beverage Control Responsible Beverage Service Training certification
