This role will involve troubleshooting, diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and installing dock and door equipment. The Service Technician will perform planned maintenance, welding, and maintain a service van and its inventory.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, service, repair and install dock and door equipment
- Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer dock and door equipment
- Perform welding tasks
- Maintain a service van and its inventory
- Process paperwork after completion of each job
Requirements
- Less than 2 years related experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Less than 2 years related experience
Nice to Have
- Technical school graduate
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Welding experience
- Good written and verbal communication and customer care skills
- Ability to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Familiarity with tools and equipment such as common hand tools
