Director, Project Quality

About This Role

Lead the implementation of project quality management systems and procedures for a dynamic LNG export project. Interfacce with the Quality Leadership team to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and Implement Quality Management Systems, including developing quality plans, establishing metrics, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Lead, train, and mentor a team of Quality Assurance and Quality Control staff, and organize daily tasks to ensure effective quality management.
• Implement and manage corrective and preventative actions for non-conformances, track quality issues, and resolve them before they impact project timelines or budgets.
• Prepare and present data-driven quality reports to senior leadership, highlighting performance, trends, and risks.
• Monitor and inspect all phases of construction to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with senior leadership, engineers, subcontractors, and business units to ensure alignment on quality standards and objectives.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Construction Quality management, in the energy industry, preferably in LNG
• Strong knowledge and understanding of construction process, materials, quality standards, and legal/regulatory requirements
• Strong knowledge of API Q1, ISO 9001, international quality standards, and technical matters related to ASME and API codes and standards
• Experience with audits, inspections, and subcontractor evaluations
• Excellent written and verbal communication, planning, computing, technical, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to perform multiple tasks, work within project deadlines and adjust as priorities change
• Ability to mentor others through technical training and guidance
• Ability to read and interpret engineer drawings to include P&IDs, Civil/Structural plans and details, Electrical Wiring Diagrams, Piping Isometrics, etc.
• Broad knowledge and understating of all industry codes, standards, and industry best practices
• Advanced computer experience with Smartsheet, SharePoint, BI, Adobe, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel Work products

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Project Management, Industrial Technology, or related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Construction Quality management, in the energy industry, preferably in LNG
