This is a senior leadership role for an accomplished preconstruction professional responsible for leading early project planning and guiding the firm’s pursuit and pricing strategy across complex commercial projects in the Greater Boston area.
Responsibilities
- Lead preconstruction from conceptual budgeting through GMP and turnover
- Establish pricing strategy, scope clarity, and bid coverage across pursuits
- Drive constructability, phasing, and value optimization discussions with design teams
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key subcontractors and vendors
- Partner with leadership on pursuit strategy and go/no-go decision making
- Elevate internal preconstruction standards, documentation, and handoff processes
Requirements
- 10+ years of estimating/preconstruction experience with demonstrated leadership
- Proven performance on complex commercial projects in the Boston market
- Strong command of subcontractor scopes, leveling, and risk management
- Comfortable presenting budgets and strategy to owners and executive teams
- Collaborative leadership style with a builder’s mindset
