Director of Nursing (DON)

About This Role

Manage and direct the overall operations of the Nursing Department, ensuring excellent care for residents in accordance with company policies and governmental regulations. This role involves planning, developing, and evaluating nursing services and programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall operations of the Nursing Department in accordance with Company policies, standards of nursing practices and governmental regulations
• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the nursing services department, as well as its programs and activities
• Assist with development of and approve final version of the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care for each resident
• Confirm accurate completion of forms/reports for the admission, transfer and/or discharge of each resident

Requirements

• Current state Registered Nurse license
• 5+ years' experience in long-term care and/or acute care setting
• 2+ years' management/supervisory experience
• Current/active CPR certification
• Strong knowledge of policies and governmental regulations

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in long-term care and/or acute care setting, and a minimum of two (2) years management/supervisory experience
