This role leads fundraising events, sponsorship development, and donor engagement for ECS4Kids, focusing on planning and executing fundraising and community engagement activities. The Director will cultivate and steward donors year-round, connecting supporters to the mission's impact and helping them fall in love with ECS4Kids.
Responsibilities
- Produce annual signature events, and smaller events, from concept to execution including budgeting, timelines, vendor sourcing and negotiation, decor, scripts, technical production, and onsite management.
- Develop run-of-show materials, manage rehearsals, and ensure exceptional guest experience.
- Lead registration, check-in, seating, accessibility, and overall event flow.
- Build and manage a sponsorship pipeline, including outreach, cultivation, proposals, and benefit fulfillment.
- Convert event attendees and sponsors into year-round relationships and increased giving.
- Draft personalized acknowledgements, impact summaries, and donor stewardship materials.
- Partner with Strategic Communications to develop event marketing and collateral, ensuring consistent messaging and mission alignment.
- Maintain accurate donor and event data in Raiser’s Edge NXT, track KPIs, and provide weekly dashboards.
- Collaborate with Finance on reconciliation, deposits, expense reports, and event budgets.
- Support event committees with agendas, materials, and follow-up, and recruit/train/supervise event volunteers.
Requirements
- 5+ years producing nonprofit fundraising events (300–500+ guest gala) and multi-session forums/summits, including auctions and sponsorship fulfillment.
- Proficiency with Raiser’s Edge NXT or similar CRMs, event registration platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel expertise required).
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse community segments, volunteers, groups, individuals, and professionals.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
